Before you start:
- Install the UMANG App and the Aadhaar Face RD App from your phone’s app store.
- Ensure your Aadhaar number is linked to your mobile number, as OTPs and face scans use this.
Step-by-step guide:
- Open UMANG: Launch the UMANG app and navigate to the EPFO section.
- Select UAN Service: Tap on “UAN Allotment and Activation” (or similar option for new generation).
- Enter Details: Provide your Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to it.
- Consent & OTP: Tick the consent box and tap “Send OTP” to get it on your registered mobile.
- Face Authentication: After entering the OTP, you’ll be prompted for Face Authentication. Check the consent box and tap “Face Authentication”.
- Perform Scan: The Aadhaar Face RD App will open; follow on-screen instructions for a successful face scan.
- UAN Generated: The system verifies your details with UIDAI, generates your new UAN, and sends it to your mobile number via SMS.
